Growing up number six in a family of nine kids was the perfect environment for a future copywriter and creative director. Total chaos. Part referee, psychiatrist, peacemaker, lone wolf, teammate, improv actor, cheerleader, and goalie - all before lunch. Grateful to have worked with talented teams to create campaigns across every category and medium. Played a key role in growing The Martin Agency from a regional power to a global star. Winner of multiple One Show pencils and Cannes Lions in four straight decades. Snagged an Emmy in 2013, the Cannes Film Grand Prix in 2015, and One Show Agency of the Year in 2016. After agency life, jumped headlong into freelancing from my home on the James River in Virginia, working with my trusted, yet finicky, partner Roxie.
